Enjoy Eight Great Dining Destinations

Looking for something better than the typical reheated pizza slice or pre-packaged deli sandwich? We’ve searched the web to help you find some of the best, most innovative, highly regarded restaurants at every airport that WallyPark serves.

Atlanta: One Flew South

Hartsfield-Jackson International – Terminal E

This may be an airport restaurant, but don’t let that fool you. One Flew South is consistently rated one of the best in all of Atlanta. The Japanese-inspired decor creates a Zen-like vibe that feels worlds away from the frantic rush of terminal traffic and the unique Asian-Southern fusion menu offers everything from sushi, pork belly sliders and soy-glazed grouper to Southern Comfort cocktails and Southern banana pudding.

Denver: Root Down

Denver International – Concourse C

Based on the popular LoHi neighborhood establish of the same name, Root Down is one of the most unique, enjoyable restaurants at DEN. It also offers a wide variety of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options – including vegetarian shoyu ramen and gluten-free banh mi. An environment featuring a self-watering green wall, recycled cockpit instruments and dozens of light globes also make it a relaxing place to wait out flight delays.

Jacksonville: Shula’s Bar & Grill

Location: Concourse A

Created exclusively for airport venues, Shula’s Bar & Grill is a cross between their renowned Shula’s Steak Houses and Shula’s American Kitchens. Enjoy a myriad of menu choices including prime steaks, gourmet burgers, fresh seafood, signature appetizers, handmade ravioli, hearty salads – plus a full selection of custom-crafted cocktails – in the relaxing atmosphere of a classic chophouse. The level of service alone makes this a perennial favorite of weary travelers.

Los Angeles: Ink Sack

Tom Bradley International Terminal – Great Hall

Sure, it’s a sandwich shop, but it isn’t just any old sandwich shop. Well-known LA chef, Michael Voltaggio, closed his other Ink Sack locations to focus on new concepts, but this LAX favorite is perfect for flying foodies who want to grab a little gourmet fare on the go. Just try the pork butt banh mi or gravlax with pickled onions and “everything spread” and you’ll never settle for a classic hoagie or po boy again.

Orlando: Urban Crave

Orlando International – Terminal A

Most Florida cities are famous for amazing street food and now you can even enjoy it at MCO. If you’re a fan of American cuisine but want more than just fast food, make a point of finding your way to Urban Crave. From a full array of burgers, grilled cheese sandwiches and fried chicken sliders to fresh salads and banh mi sandwiches, this Orlando favorite serves up the best finger foods and street fare in an inviting, loft-inspired environment.

Philadelphia: Bud and Marilyn’s

Philadelphia International – Between Terminals B & C

Looking for a taste of the Midwest while you’re visiting the East Coast? This famous Philly restaurant by Safran Turney hospitality has now landed at PHL. You may have to look for it but it’s worth the effort. Bud and Marilyn’s airport location serves some of the brand’s most-beloved dishes, along with some special grab-and-go options. Don’t miss the Nashville Hot Buns filled with fried chicken, pickles and slaw topped with their burnt scallion ranch dressing.

San Diego: The Prado

San Diego International – Terminal 2

This airport location may not feel the quite the same as the al fresco environment of the original Prado in Balboa Park, but it still tastes the same. Their dedication to healthy entrees crafted from the freshest ingredients ensures you can enjoy famous, perennial favorites like their vibrant red-and-gold beet salad and hearty Kobe cheeseburger. All served in a relaxing environment that won’t make you feel rushed – no matter how soon your flight is departing.

Seattle: Skillet

Seattle-Tacoma International – North Satellite

What started as a popular food truck and became a neighborhood go-to diner is now a favorite destination at SeaTac. From their famous breakfast chilaquiles to their kale Caesar salad, Skillet is putting the best of Pacific Northwest comfort food in the hands of frequent fliers. You can enjoy all sorts of “portable” offerings from their original menu – but we recommend the homemade doughnut holes with powdered sugar or raspberry jam.

Have you tried any of these yet? If so, what did you think? If not, maybe you should. With a little more planning and some extra time in your itinerary, the airport might become one of the points on your journey you enjoy the most. Bon appetit!
